ARCHITECTURE MADE BY MUSIC
WHAT IS RESONANCE ARCHITECTURE?
It’s a means of generating architectural form using the geometry of sine waves (music/vibration), mapping of harmonic resonance.
We do not draw or create the forms, we capture them.
By using the same process that nature uses, the goal is to create structures that embody true / holistic resonance. When you experience these geometries - whether on a ceiling, a textile or in the shape of the walls themselves, you are naturally entrained into a meditative state.
Biophilic / biomimetic design has been proven to greatly reduce stress, enhance a feeling of well-being, and help regulate the human nervous system.
“Architects and designers have a greater ability to improve public health than medical professionals.”
– Dr.Claudia Miller, University of Texas
WHAT WE DO
We design resonant structures that map a specific frequency.
The technology used to map these geometries is new, and falls under parametric-computational design. We use pure math, algorithms and sacred geometry to generate architectural form.
The intention of the work is to experience a feeling of interconnectedness with existence through a physical experience of resonance at a large scale. As we know from epigenetics, our physical environment has an enormous impact on our genetic response and overall well-being.
WHAT IS RESONANCE?
Resonance is an increase in the vibration amplitude of an object caused by another object vibrating at the same frequency.
When a sine wave bounces off a sacred geometric building or space, the resulting waves cause an amplification of the original frequency, which generates biomimetic form.
What we are mapping is the geometry of music itself as it travels, freezing it in time. By using these forms to create architecture, we will be able to visually experience the music we hear but cannot see.

ARCHITECTURAL APPLICATIONS
The forms generated by mapping sound waves can be used in many ways in the design of buildings, from Residential to Sacred Structures to Hospitality Design.
Applications:
Pavilion Structures, 3d Ceiling Geometries
Textiles, Wall Screens, Light Fixtures
Structural Members, Sculptural Seating, Whole-Building (Temple) Design
