A truly sustainable building outlives its owners by generations. We design for 200-year lifespans - specifying locally sourced, inorganic materials that require no toxic treatments, minimal maintenance, and leave almost nothing behind.
INDOOR AIR QUALITY
With wood frames, mold follows. We don't use organic materials in the building envelope - not because they aren't beautiful, but because stone, clay and earth don't feed organisms, off-gas chemicals, or fail silently behind your walls.

Solar path, prevailing winds, thermal mass placement, natural cross-ventilation - these are not afterthoughts or LEED checkboxes. They are the first design decisions, and every subsequent choice follows from them.
A building oriented correctly to its site requires a fraction of the mechanical energy of one that isn't. We conduct full solar and wind analysis on every project, designing ventilation systems that move air without motors, structures that cool themselves, and envelopes that harvest light without producing heat.
The result is a building that works with its climate rather than against it. Quieter, more efficient, and fundamentally more alive than anything a thermostat can achieve.
